Injured while cycling in Zambia

Africa is a magical place and has many opportunities for adventure and exploring the great, wild outdoors. But what happens if something goes wrong? For one of our clients travelling in Zambia this became all too evident when an exciting adventure turned into a critical emergency. 

Airlifted for medical treatment from Zambia to South Africa

Our patient was enjoying a cycling tour in Zambia when he was seriously injured in a car accident. Due to the seriousness of his injuries he had to be airlifted from Zambia to Johannesburg, South Africa to be treated. 

I was very pleased that it was you that was keeping me in the loop, it helped very much seeing the same person and not having several different people looking after the case.

The AIMS team was on-hand to assist the patient with his medical treatment as well as assisting in dealing with his insurance in London. 

After receiving sufficient medical treatment in Johannesburg the patient was successfully repatriated to London, where he could complete the final phase of his journey to recovery.
